1. Something Fun: Obstacle Course Ideas for Kids
Create fun, simple obstacle courses inside or out for hours of entertainment.
When you set-up your obstacle course, you can have different levels of difficulties for different ages if needed. Time each person as they go through the course. Try to beat your own time.

- Carry rocks or balls from one place to another

Use simple props and get inspired by your surroundings. Do it together, and have fun!
2. A Little Lesson: Pornography
Unfortunately, it is far too easy for our kids to be exposed to pornography. We need to start and continue the conversation about why we choose not to look at pornography and what to do if we see it.
This video to teach kids about pornography is a great addition to the conversation. Additionally, this free guide to help you talk to your child about pornography will introduce the five things every child needs to know about pornography.
These conversations might be uncomfortable at first, but they’re worth it.
Wondering how to fit Little Lessons into your busy family schedule?
The two main ways to fit important lessons into your busy family schedule are to find spontaneous teaching moments throughout the day and to schedule family learning time each week. These two posts go into detail about these two ways and tips for making it happen with your family.

3. A Service Idea: Pet Care
Volunteer to take care of a neighbor’s or friend’s pet when the friend is sick or on vacation.
Encourage your kids to share the responsibility as you serve others as a family.
Service is a great way to build a stronger, happier family. If you want more service ideas, request Raising Compassionate Children in a Conceited World, which includes 101 Service Ideas for Families.
4. Something Random: It Seemed Like a Good Idea
We’ve all had these moments…
Hope it hasn’t been one of those week’s for you!
5. A Quick Tip: Healthy Relationships
Our kids are always watching and learning from us.
What are our kids seeing? Are they seeing belittling or respect? Resentment or forgiveness? Aggressiveness or assertiveness? Sarcasm or kindness? We know that helping our kids learn to prioritize and maintain healthy relationships is one of the most powerful ways to help them be healthy and happy. So let’s take a quick personal relationship inventory and see if we can find one way to model healthy relationships a little bit better.
And that is Friday’s Fast Five!
